Hello,
New here. Long time Subaru owner. I've owned 3 different Impreza 2.5 RS' (1999, 2001, 2006) and have driven a 2016 WRX for the past few years. Expensive car and insurance payments took a toll on me, so here I am...

I just bought a 2007 Forester XT Limited (pictures and possible journal thread tomorrow when its not raining). I got a good price on it, but it has pretty high mileage (150K) and is a bit rough around the edges looks wise, but I know the only previous owner and she is an older women who did not abuse it and maintained it well mechanically.

First thing I'm doing this week is taking it to a local Subaru specialty shop to perform a checkup and change out all of the fluids, filters, spark plugs, wires, belts, and a new battery. This will be my daily driver, so while I may do small performance and handling modifications, I will mostly be making sure it runs well for the foreseeable future. The outside of the car needs quite a bit of work. I need to restore the headlights and the rear hatch has some collision damage that has rusted a bit which I'll need to get taken care of. I ordered some mud flaps which hopefully will keep some of the ice and mud off the car in the snowy NH winters.

I've wanted an FXT since this model first released in 2006 so I'm pretty excited about this car. If you have any suggestions on what I should do and look out for with this car, I am all ears!
