Just wanted to say hello. I just bought a silver 2004 Forester XT automatic with 190000km. I've had two Subies before: 1997 Outback and a 2000 Outback.

I've only had it a few days and already experienced a P0011 and P0700 CEL codes. I have it going into the local Subaru dealership for a timing belt change etc, etc.

Any advice for a Forester newbie?

Welcome to the board.

Most on here will say that along with the belt you change the idlers, tensioner, and water pump. The belt fails bc one of these components fails.

Got everything done, including a new turbo and banjo bolts. :shake: OUCH.

But, it purrs now and drives awesome. I'm sure mod fever will start to hit in the spring. Any (reasonable) suggestions, or, where to look?
