Hello everyone,
I am a new forum member and a new owner of the blue 2018 Forester.
I became a Subaru fan about 20 years ago due to Subaru's WRC success, and Subaru has been my favorite car make ever since, but we had never owned one before. This year I finally finished my PhD and got a very good academic job, and my wife and I are currently expecting our second baby, so we decided that it was the right moment to get a bigger car in addition to our 2008 Honda Civic.
We test drove the Forester and absolutely loved it (especially its roomy cabin, excellent visibility, panoramic sunroof, and excellent safety features), found/negotiated a very good deal on a 2018 2.5i Premium at one of our local dealers, and had it delivered to our home a couple of days ago.
I already replaced the stock tires with the Toyo Celsius CUV to prepare for the winter here in Upstate NY, will get a ski rack soon (I am a 3rd generation skier) and a bike rack closer to the spring. It's only been a couple of days, but so far we love our Forester, and I am really looking forward to new adventures with our Subaru.
P.S. Sorry for the long post, but as you might see, I am really excited.
