I had a clutch kit (mainstream manufacturer, L..) sent from the US to rural New Zealand. The case of the clutch release bearing seems to not have been pressed right: one of the 4 noses is a bit short, it seems to not have been bent where it should have been. I am quite remote here and want to do the job with a local non-Subaru mechanic who is never seen the clutch assembly before. Car is 2005, 2.5L non-turbo. The 2 pictures enclosed should describe what I mean. I wonder if I need to get the dealer (R...auto) to exchange the bearing, but if that is the case, then it might concern an entire production series (fault in the press). Sorry for the hassle, I am not a mechanic. Any hint appreciated!
