New to these boards. I go to Appalachian State in Boone, NC and my 07 GLI hasn't been cutting it up here on the mountains. So I convinced the parents to get a 2010 Forester (black) and we are switching cars for the school year.

I still love my Jetta, don't hate . A few friends of mine have different Subaru's and have loved them. I'm excited to put some mountain miles on it, and posting on these forums and learning more about them.

nah. no turbo in the suby, this is more the up at college car. and the Dub has a 2.0t with a chip and a few other slight upgrades

i'll post a picture of them together when its not so crappy out

My brother-in-law and sister-in-law both went there and we have a house on Beech Mtn.

Sweet area for a Subaru. That's part of the reason we bought ours.
