I have a 99 forester with a 2.5sohc and I have a chance at getting a 2.5dohc turbo out of a 04 forester what would I need to complete the engine swap and what should I look at with the turbo engine for problems

Off the top of my head you would need the entire wiring harness for the whole car especially the dash and engine, probably want to swap the trans as well for strength (this is debatable), the complete engine top to bottom, either a fmic or tmic/hood. Mikedrives1 did a build if he has a page or pm him and ask him directly, he has done this to his sf forester.

It would be best to have the entire car you are pulling the engine from so that you will be sure to have all the parts that you need, not sure what you would do about a hood scoop though, maybe go with the from mount IC. In any case most of the parts bolt right up to your car the biggest issue will be the wiring.

Don't forget the crossmember. You'll have a heck of a time sneaking an up pipe between a NA crossmember and the engine.

+1 to the entire car or don't bother.

Would it even be worth the trouble to do all of that how much power does the turbo put out vs the n/a I can't find anything online about it
