[Roger Stokes]

I have a 2001 forester with 97,000 miles on it. How do you know when the wheel bearings are bad, because it`s making some road noise?

What sort of noise, mine has just started with a humming sort of sound that gets louder with speed.
At the moment i just turn the radio up, i hope to get around to checking this w/end.
My old ladys Impreza had a similar noise last year, ended up changing the O/s rear bearing.
