Sorry to start a new thread on this topic but I need to get some definitive answers.

My wife's 2014 limited w/navigation will not allow voice commands for the navigation when her phone is connected via Bluetooth and an iPod is connected via USB. All other voice commands work, hands free calling works, the iPod works and voice commands for the iPod work. It's only the navigation voice commands that get ignored.

Unplug the iPod, restart the car, and all voice commands will work, including navigation. If you unplug the iPod without restarting the car, nav voice commands will still not work. You must do a restart.

Plug in the iPod, restart the car, and nav voice commands are ignored. If you start the car first, then plug in the iPod, nav. Voice commands will work.

The dealer service dept. is saying all subarus do this because the USB overrides the Bluetooth. I told them this makes no sense because the nav system has nothing to do with Bluetooth AND all other voice commands work, including hands free use of the phone.

Can you tell me if you have navigation, a phone connected via bluetooth and some other device plugged into your USB port and whether your nav voice commands work?

Also, what device is plugged into the USB? iPod, thumb drive, etc?

Thank you for your time!

I am pretty sure I have had no problems using any voice commands while my iPod have been connected via usb and my Samsung Galaxy S4 has been connected via bluetooth.

I will double check on my way to work this morning and report back.
