As there seems to be a need for members to balance the broken cars with non-broken cars feel free to let us all know how well your motor is running,no HG problems or the like.

For the record my car is running great with 76k on the clock.:bananapartyhat:

Hope i have'nt set myself a curse now!!

I'm guessing yours hasn't been pushed in terms of it specs/remapping?

Mine's going nicely too. Mostly stock, certainly not remapped or pushed, and almost on 60k.

Still running strong at 133k. Only gripe is the temp. gauge starts to rise going up long hills on really hot (100+) days ever since the OEM radiator busted. I wish I could at least identify the cause so I could fix it.

not a clue to be honest, know it has been remapped at some point but don't know what it is pushing out,but its "adequate". :icon_wink:

And at the other end of the spectrum, and just for the sake of balance:

-------------------------

Legacy self destructed at 103k with dead engine and gearbox.

Fozzy started with the problems after less than 50 miles.

Fingers crossed a new intercooler hose finally cures the fuelling problem

-------------------------

Sometimes luck is with you. Other times its gone on a year long vacation.............

This thread is for the sake of balance, since only problems get posted usually!
Hopefully we won't need a "kiss of death" thread to follow shortly.GULP

Almost-Stock S Turbo running fine at 138,000 miles! Only failure I've had so far has been one tyre in winter and the original radiator going on the top seam. Bit of can rattle when cold and no suspension issues - yet!

Bog standard N/A here. Seven years old and 58k miles. The first failure occurred earlier this year (lambda sensor) and now the trailing link bushes have worn. Not bad I suppose.

Just about run in now at 20k plus, engine feels better than ever.

Averaged 48mpg over last couple of tankfuls on a trip oop north, for much of which couldn't exceed 60mph or so on roads in the dales and across the highly trafficked plains. Average consumption since new has been 42mpg.

35k and just brake pads, fluid and wipers replaced in that time. If you add my XT I've had nearly 100k miles in Subarus without any proper problem.

Aussie MY00 2 litre na 4eat with 230 000 km or 140 000 miles, running smoothly. Only issue was a front CV boot split, so replaced the entire shaft.

It once went about 40 to 60 thousand kilometres without an oil change (this had nothing to do with me!) Still, no problems! Because of this car, I'll be sold on Subaru for the rest of my life I think...

Only issue is hard shifting into second gear, about 70% of the time. Maybe an ATF change shall fix that

10.2 l/100 km mostly city driving.

All good here

125K

Clutch went at 50K
Lay shaft stripped teeth at 110k
Radiator went at 120K
Side window rear smashed when I put a stone through it

Normal service schedules

Not standard by any stretch of the imagination

Windscreen could do with replacing
Paint work shot on roof and front wing
A few dents
Wind deflectors cracked
And annoying click click click, whilst moving, probably drive shafts front

Just done another 2000 miles loaded up round France, no issues

When its time ill get another / rebuild engine, fancy a 2.1
