Hi,

Are the CD players on the 06 Foresters MP3 compatible?

Regards,

Not as far as I'm aware, unless it's finally coming in MY07 models. Either change the head unit, or get something like an iPod with one of a number of ways to play through your system. I chose a Kensington FM transmitter. Will still look at changing the head unit if something nice comes up in the next couple of years.

Garbage,

I can confirm that the CD player doesn't play MP3s.

Cheers,

I wish Pioneer would get off the asses and bring the AVICS into Aus.

The AVIC-D1 is double-din (with SatNav) and would slot in to the console beatifully.

MP3 compatible also,,

Is the head unit actually removeable? It looks as though it's built into the car's dash.

Why car manufacturers continue to include sound systems without a simple line-in is beyond me.

You can fairly easily change the head unit from the Foresters. Pity those with the Liberty/Outback! Check the threads on this forum.
