I know this has been discussed before, but I wanted to tell my experience.

The rear differential drain plugs certainly are in tight but, I had no trouble loosening them with a plain Sears 1/2" ratchet handle. I took a rubber mallet and tapped on the end of the handle. Didn't have to raise the car - just crawled in a bit.

The Motul containers come with an extendible "snout" so I stuck it into the fill hole and squeezed the container (it won't all go in). I did this with a second container until the differential case was filled enough. Since I was also doing the manual transmission I had 4 containers of oil.

4 containers (1L) are definitely enough to do the rear differential and the manual transmission - despite what the capacity specs say.
