Decided to finally make a journal for my Forester. I've got a 2000 silver Forester L which I picked up May 2011.

Figures a month after owning it with future plans to rebuild the motor at EFI Logics, I drive the car to MI and who remembers what happened there? Ka-boom... Time to tow the car 700 miles to CT.

Only days after finally getting the motor rebuilt in August of 2011 I hopped in and moved to MI and not much else has been done to the car just yet.

Modifications:

Exterior:
-Debadging
-Thule roof rack
-Hidden Hitch + Thule hitch bike rack
-Stock steelies, black w/ Cooper Weather-Master S /T2
-Rokblokz mudflaps
-Approx. 8hp in stickers
-Red out rear signals
-Hella 500 fog lights (yellow RVinyl tint)
-Sick Speed Blast Horns
-Saab-aru 16" wheels w/ Continental Pro Contact tires
-Driver side roof vent
-Hood deflector
-Superbrightleds Reverse bulbs

Interior:
-Kenwood tape deck (I've had this in 5 cars)
-universal all weather floor mats (also in 5 cars)
-Broadway Mirror
-Lucky Pinecone
-JDM hazard switch
-Vintage, natural wood Subaru shift knob
-Emergency triangle mount
-Unknown short shifter
-2013 Forester stock 6.5" front speakers.
-Superbrightleds bulbs (Map/Dome/Cargo/Gauges)
-Sick Speed nylon tow strap, turned into hatch pull down strap.
-2002 WRX black & blue front seats.

Engine:
-EFI Logics stock rebuild (+ STI head gasket & oil pump)
-Fujita intake filter
-Borla Replica headers
-Rally-Tech aluminum battery tie down
-Stromung cat-back exhaust w/ Kartboy extended hangers
-FXT pitch stop mount
-Sick Speed aluminum oil cap

Suspension:
-Generic GC8 front strut tower bar
-'06 WRX wagon springs
-'05 WRX wagon struts/shocks
-'06 STI strut mounts
-FastWRX, 1/2" saggy butt spacers w/ extended hardware PLUS 3/8" spacers. NOW it seems level.
-'02 WRX rear sway bar w/ Whiteline bushings

The reason my motor went.

From MI to EFI Logics.

Long story short. Driving down a dirt road when suddenly someone pulls out from a side road too fast. I brake and end up sliding off the side of the road into a little ditch and hit a little tree.

So now there's this, that fender is bend outward and the rest of the front end has shifted slightly toward the driver side.

Of course I didn't get their info... they watched my smack the tree and took off :/ I would have chased them if I knew for sure the car was still drivable but had to get out and check before moving the car.

Yea, I think I'm going to see about having a shop give me some kind of estimate but probably end up trying to find all new supports (rad, lights, bumper, etc) and start pulling it apart myself since it's all I can barely afford right now.

And yea, luckily in the car it didn't feel like much happened. It sounded worse then it felt.

So this is a shot of the night of the accident. (pulled the grill, no damage)

After getting it back from the shop. (bent/cut/welded)

Half way through installing the bumper assembly.

As it sits now. Just waiting for my new headlight and corner to come in.

Unfortunately I still need a new fender, but the busted one is at least secure. Just looks like crap and not lined up well.

Throughout all of this I also acquired a JDM hazard switch and a strut tower bar! Pics to come. (Going to paint the strut bar first)

Well, I won't get my lights till monday. So I figured I'd post these for now.

Didn't realize how easy it was to take the front tow hooks off... So I figured why the heck not. I had to take one off to bend back anyway (it was bent when I bought the car)

I'm from NY, moved to MI and have been on a CT Subaru forum for years. Go figure.

So JDM Fresh! (Found it cheap so I just had to get it)
