Here are the prizes up for grabs:

1. PSi3 Data Monitor
2. Kartboy Short Shifter Kit
3. Agency Power Pulley
4. Kartboy Battery Tie-down
5. Kartboy Exhaust Hanger Set
6. Prodrive Hat
7. Certificate for one free forum shirt (when they are produced)
8. Painting of your choice (you submit a pic, it's "painted" onto canvas) 10x12"

How this worked:

I went to the website, and chose one random number per prize that was up for grabs. The numbers were randomly generated, and the objective was to match your number to ANY ONE of the numbers chosen. If you didn't match ANY ONE of the numbers, then the closest one to ANY ONE of the winning numbers wins. This increases your odds of winning by providing a random element, and more numbers you could match.

The winning numbers are:

Here are the numbers:

525 - macsalad +1 (tie for 1st)

969 - MY00Forest +8 (6th)

645 - tentenths +1 (tie for 1st)

558 - blitzoid -2 (3rd)

275 - crazyoldguy +8 (5th)

520 - Aleksey +35 (8th)

373 - frogmonk +3 (4th)

367 - Sleeper_XT -24 (7th)

Now, if you're in a tie (macsalad and tentenths) OR (MY00Forest and crazyoldguy), you need to post a number between one and one hundred. There will be one random number chosen for each pair of members, and the closest one to the number in their pairing wins the tie-breaker. You have until Saturday at 12:00 noon (Pacific Standard Time) to post your number, or the other member in your pairing wins by default.

Thanks to all who contributed. The board is in excellent shape to continue on its mission well into the future with a total just over $2000 raised to date.

How random is this?
If you pick 1 and the other guy picks 2 then there is a 99 out of 100 change the guy with 2 will win.

Seems a very odd way to decide a winner, when you could just use a random number generator and keep generating numbers till you get a hit.
Or for a tie - why not let one of them pick heads or tails - then toss a coin.

Cause the "pick a number, nearest random number wins" is exteremely unlikely to be an equal chance.

Note - Im not in the draw, just as someone who works with numbers this jumps out as a very inequitable system.

congrats to the winn4rs! maybe selecting numbers 1-100 would have been easier? I'm kinda glad I didnt win, it would have made the donation pointless.

again, great work on the site guys!

That's why I had people choose numbers BLINDLY, so that it was kept as random as I could. I would believe that the people involved in the tie-breaker would simply choose a random number, I would go to the random number generating website ( http://www.random.org/nform.html ), and have the website pick a number. Having numbers picked blindly simply keeps people from doing what you described in this post (pick 1, pick 2, etc.) and makes things a bit more random.

Also Congrats to ALL........In any case, donation is money well spent in my opinion. Where else can you go 'hang out' with so many others with similar interests. Cheaper than a nite at the movies......especially with a few kids..and snacks....etc.

Please PM it to me. We're going to change the format slightly. It's a number between 1 and 10, and I'll have the random number generator come up with numbers until I hit yours or the other one.
