I recently got a 98 Forester, all stock. I've found that the manual transmission slips when I downshift, say, from 4th to 3rd. It seems to engage and then disengage, creating a jerky movement. The fluid was just changed a couple of days ago. I'm at a loss as to what could be causing this. I noticed that there was a similar thread started just this morning on this. Like him, I searched but couldn't find anything noteworthy. Thanks for helping a noob out. Cheers.
