As you all know my Rota Torques are a week a way from being mounted on the FXT.

So should I invest in something different:

coloured nuts (gun metal, black or chrome)

What do you think of spline nuts? Worth it?

Thanks for the help.

I love spline lugnuts... because you don't necessarily need locking lugs to go with them. I don't know many rim thieves who carry around the spline drive sockets. I believe McGard still has a special locking lug to match their spline drives.

Black or Gunmetal would look great on your ride Steve.

From my couple of near wheel buying experiences I've sourced out lugs around here Steve;
where you are getting your wheels sells a bunch of different kinds, I was looking at the NRG ones myself.. or McGards from PDM racing in van..
also if you are looking in the states Mcgards from wheeldude or Okaos..

and no Black isn't ricey.. plus don't worry about who thinks what.. when you park your foz dripping mud and dirt, A/Ts and skidplates, downtown in Calgary noone is going to think ohh ricey.. :biggrin:

Just picked up some McGard spline nuts for my new Rota rims.

Got the silver. Could not justify another $30+ for black. They come complete with silver valve stems, locking nuts and key.

Garrantteed not to rust, chip etc.

I also avoided BC's tax. I don't know how blue collar people can afford to live in Vancouver.
