A year ago I purchased my first Subaru, a 2018 Forester XT with the turbo motor. For the first 6 months there were no problems.
Then, with about 5000 mi. I started experiencing the dreaded low speed hesitation. it has gotten worse so I took it to my dealer, Royal Moore in Hillsboro OR. Of course, they were not able to replicate the problem. However, one of their service writers experienced the same problem with his new XT, once. That had no impact on them. They ran all the diagnostics and took it for a test drive and said everything was fine. They contacted Subaru tech ling and filed a report and that was it. I contacted Subaru and discovered that they keep themselves well insulated from consumer complaints. The only point of contact is their Customer Service, aka BS line. I got the script reader who kept repeating that , unless they could replicate the problem, there was nothing that could be done. I filed a complaint with NHTSA, but don't expect anything from them. I thought about writing to Subaru but based on the experience with Customer Service, it's very obvious that they don't care about their customers. Any other ideas? Thanks, Jim Dooman
