After a low impact no damage 4 mph front bumper impact with my '06 Forester XT ,both my heated seats stopped working. They were on when the bumper made contact with a snow obscured barrier.I checked the fuse and replaced it only to have it instantly reblow. Is their a safety reset switch that needs resetting or perhaps a relay that needs replacing as well? It seems on the '06 their is only one fuse that needs to be replaced.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks to all in advance,
Philip

A fuse blowing isn’t a safety feature. You’ve got a wiring problem. It may be related to the impact, maybe fog light wiring, horn, etc.
Or it may just be bad timing with the crash and your heated seats quit working.
Grab a multimeter and start back tracking the problem from the fuse.
