Revised forecast calling for around 12 inches and colds temps to preserve it once its down. The Nokian WRG2's really clawed through it on the way home a little while ago. Probably about 8 or 9 inches has fallen already. The Foz was super sure footed, inspiring huge confidence.

Cool!

I just pulled into NW Indy... very little snow here; roads are clear. I'm headin' home tomorrow via Cinci... should be a scenic drive across SE Indiana!

Take care,
Jim / crewzer

We got hammered, havent gotten stuck but there's 3-6 foot snow drifts still here.

I pushed through 2 foot drifts but if I ever stopped I'd be stuck for sure.

Tempted to lift the bugger during winter with spacers, then coil overs for summer haha.

Send some snow to the east coast please!

Youre not getting any!? It's started snowing here! We have about an inch now (likely with ice/sleet/freezing rain base underneath), of snow and it's started coming down pretty heavy! My dad predicts 4-5 inches (He manages the NYC water supply pretty high up, he knows weather spot on since it's a huge part of his job).

We should probably get some snow tonight. And, Duder, I just checked the Weather Network's forecast, and you're scheduled to get quite a whopping of snow! ;D Not so much for me up here...

On an unrelated note, there is a HELL of a system of some intense rain or something (something weathery, anyway) on the east coast!!! Holy moly! Checking out the radar maps is quite enlightening. Just, whoa.

Yeah... This is what's hitting me right now. It's been raining all day and it cooled off enough and changed over to show now.

Only Nokian WRG_'s for me from now on. These things are great in the snow and not too awful bad on the icier-ish packed stuff that coats the secondary roads at night. And they have been a great summer tire as well, offering good dry and wet performance in the warm months. The specific version I have is WRG2SUV 225/60YR17. http://www.nokiantires.com/tyre?id=11955&group=2.01&name=Nokian+WRG2+SUV

If I had studs I would be invincible.

Well we were only supposed to receive about an inch today, but ended up with 9. I was happy. I was finally able to see how this car would handle the snow with Michelin Xi2's. I wasn't disappointed. Not only did it cut through the snow with ease, it handled the slush and ice very well too.

We got 10 inches. With Winter tires, as long as this thing doesn't get hung up on something too deep, it's very sure-footed. Glad I put winter tires on it since my wife drives it, and she's not sure of driving in snow. I have demonstrated how good it performs, and showed her the limits of traction and what happens when the limits are exceeded, so, I've done my part...

As for me, my company-issued AWD Escape with stock tires is surprising me with how well it does in snow.

I had Nokian WR G2s on my 2011 Legacy and on my Volvo R60R, just WRs on my GTI. Best all around tire!!!
Just waiting for the G91s to run out of tread. I just hope they aren't that bad.
