I have a 2004 with 265,000km on it. I have replaced the turbo in January, and my mechanic thinks it blew cause the engine is now starting to burn oil. How much longer should I expect the engine to last if I monitor its oil consumption?

I heard the turbo blowing is a tell-tale sign the engine is on its last legs.

Thanks

The engine and the turbo are independent of one another though they do share the same oil supply. The turbo failing isn't an indicator of the engine failing (unless bits were ingested when the turbo failed.)

What was the oil consumption before the turbo failure?
