I was working in the Garden Yesterday when the ground gave way & my foot got trapped.

Moles, they have been tunneling little gits.

My foot is out like a balloon, Wifelet has just taken me to Casualty.

Apparently it's Achillestendoitis:huh:

On Pain Killers & Crutchews for a week.

I have to go back for an X Ray to see if it's healing, if No improvement they may have to operate!!!

Watch out for Moles they are deadly:biggrin:

Mind how you go.

Regards

Scissors mole trap... best £2.99 ever spent ! Tried water and hosepipe, gas and even fireworks !!!!!! Moletrap and rotting remains worked a treat. But yes, have to stamp down the old tunnels.

Happy liquid recovery Alan.

Cheers

If you can get away with not having an op, do so

You need to rest the injured area

Use cold therapy, bag of peas from freezer, to reduce pain and swelling

and get a heel pad in your shoes

Ibruprofen for swelling / pain

See a sports injuries specialist before undertaking any of the above, because I could be talking rubbish (Im not, but you get the idea)

They might do some massage, ultrsaound, and some stretching exercises and strength and conditioning.

I have seen people in a brace before, if its really bad

and if it persists and dooesnt get better its an OP

Thanks everyone for tips/well wishes.

Good tip about the peas a chap that does Physio for the local football team confirms it.

Just got to keep the weight off the bad leg & if I put the bad foot down only the ball of the foot.

Looking at getting the best from your crutches on the Internet>>

Managed my first Shower for 2 days & it's made a huge difference.

On the mobile email for work etc.

Unfortunately I have decided to cut back on the beer :icon_sad: (a bit anyway )

The loo is a long way from our bedroom & crutches/dogs etc.

Thanks to all once again.

Kind regards

Ouch sounds painful :-(

Many moons ago when I was head gardening boy we had loads of moles on the croquet lawn. We tried everything including shotgun (fun, made a big mess, but didn't get any moles), mole land mines (big bang but not good when you have dogs or cats) and electric pulse thingy. None of them worked as well as the good old fashioned mole trap. Just make sure you check them everyday.

Hope you get better soon.

Sorry to hear about your foot... hope it gets better soon.

I'll ask my neighbour if they can lend your their cats for a while as they keep bringing moles back (dropping the odd one off in my garden for good measure)!

Mind you, a shotgun is probably more satisfying if ultimately unfruitful and slightly damaging to the lawn. Mole land mines sound like fun too!

Big day tomorrow, it's X Ray time, to find out whether an op is required.

Another 2 Mole Hillls today have appeared>>:icon_frown:

I have been a good boy on the beer this week however, had a nice time down the Villlage pub today>>

The local Mole catcher was in there & I asked about getting him round with his magic pellets to terminate the little Scrotes.#

Appparently, "Phoney Tony" agreed with the Euro lot to ban the sale of these.

He says on the Radar Screen is much worse, Brussels want to ban the only effective Rat Poison the Pros use.

Reckons if this happens, we are in deep Donkey Dirst>>

They are only barely keeping the rat population at bay by a whisker.

If this is banned, never mind a Rat is less than 6 feet from you, they will be sleeping with you.
