Hi folks. I'm trying to replace the gas struts on my 09's liftgate. Amazon thought that the Armstrong Strongarm 6002 was an appropriate fit so I've got one of those on-hand - ball joints on both ends. And that's where I've got a couple of questions.
1. I'm hoping I can use the original ball stud on the car body end, but don't see a retaining clip or pin on the strut to allow it to be removed. Any recommendations?
2. The original equipment has a pivot mount rather than a ball joint on the liftgate end. Do I need to get an aftermarket mount and additional ball stud to mount the 6002?
