Cool, cheers guys. On a another note, can you foresee any issues fitting 18" ET45 wheels with 225/45 tyres to a 2004 Foz?!!

Should be OK - 225s fit fairly easily with a 48mm offset so with a 45mm offset you should have no problem at all... you could probably push out to a 235/40 with no problems. Not sure which is the more common size in an 18" wheel, which ever it is will be cheaper though.

And there was me thinking it was a Forester specific hose from the ubiquitous Mr James Dyson...

Cheers guys. It seems that the Internet has screwed my head. 10 years ago I'd have looked in a catalogue, chosen and bought. Now I have to research the best price, what size, what colour etc etc., make and images of my chosen wheel to get an idea what it looks like. Sometimes I hate the amount of info available to us...!!!!

17" or 18", Hypersilver or Hyperblack round and round in my head round and round in my head round and round in my head round and round in my head round and round in my head round and round in my head..........

ET45 should be fine. Original offset in the Forester is 48. If they fit an Impreza (in which the original wheels have offset 53) without problems I don't see why they will not fit the Forester.

Stock is a pain in the back side as tyres are expensive for the 16" rim compared to 17".

I have a set of winter tyres on the stock rims which I want to keep on for next year.
Good man. Yes, stock 16s are pricey - would there be more rubber in a 215/60/16 than in a 215/50/17 I wonder..?
