For those that have a STI cluster how difficult is it to install the iA performance cable on the transmission housing? I couldn't for the life of my get the connection off the transmission and it appears the other end of the harness is clipped on up near the downpipe/uppipe. A local subaru shop claimed it was a few hour job to install the cable and I'm a bit skeptical.

It is easy to fit, but in my experience: that cable does not work on our cars. Not on my 08 anyway. I tried twice (two different cables, thought the first might be defective) and both tries I got a non- functioning speedo and a CEL.

Best bet is to send your FSTi cluster to G-ROM and have it flashed to read in MPH. Search facebook for G-ROM cluster flashing.

Me too! I went through all kinds of crazy stuff trying to get the FSTi cluster to read in miles!

Note: I was a bit sketched out about having to do this through facebook but Garett is a standup guy and was *incredibly* responsive with great customer service.

I already sent my cluster off to him :)
