Hi all,

My wife and I just purchased our first Subaru last weekend, a '15 Forester XT. Still reading the manual and learning all the new features.

My wife just totaled our previous car, a FIAT 500L (the 4door, not the clown car) so after doing a bit of research on the interwebs, we put the Forester on the list of cars to check out.

The only real requirement we had was that our two Great Danes had to fit in the cargo area. We really wanted an Outback but when we went to the dealer, the dogs didn't quite fit in the Outback but did fit with room to spare in the Forester, so the Forester it was.

Got to drive it for the first time today and it surprised me as to how comfortable and powerful it was. My last Subie experience was in the late 80's and lets just say the car then was a bit......utilitarian.

Looking forward to reviewing all the information on this forum and learning a bit more about my car.

Cheers!

Welcome!

My wife and I just bought a 2015 Forester 2.5i Touring last week to replace her '03 CRV. This is her first Subaru and so far she is loving it and all of it's features. She said she finally feels like she's joined modern society. She hardly lets me get behind the wheel!

A hearty welcome from The West....

I, too, came "back" to the Subie family (in 2013 w/a 2014 Forester 2.5i Limited)... My first Subie was in the mid/late 90s when I picked up an 87 Subaru DL 4WD wagon at an auction for 700 bucks... It was a bit utilitarian, sure. But still cloth seats, AC, decent stereo, comfy ride for a compact wagon with some off-road abilities... Rode that beast to just over 320K miles (got it with about 260K) before a head gasket popped.

Good luck on your newest family member... My pup loves our Subie....
