...... the MOT today!!!

Apparently the emissions went through the roof.... three times. He tried it a fourth time and it passed!

Needless to say, I have now fitted a borrowed lamda sensor on (thanks for that Steve!) and see if that helps!

Only issue my mum has borrowed the car, so I won't really know if it's helped until I get the car back!

Why was the emissions a prob?

Its all standard isnt it?

From what I've gleaned over the years I reckon the 3 most likely culprits are:-

1. Leak in exhaust system
2. Lambda (O2) sensor
3. MAF sensor

The only performance modifications are a backbox and a K&N filter, that's it!

I think your right and I suspect the lambda sensor, hence borrowing one from SteveM!
