Hi

This forum is amazing. With the knowledge available here, I'm hoping someone can assist me. I have two issues:

- When I take my foot off the accelerator pedal with the speed being anything between with about 38mph and 68mph, the car jerks/lurches almost as if it has a misfire.

- The left rear suspension seems to be lower than the right. I've measured from the centre of the wheel to the fender and it's about 18mm lower. The dealership has checked it out and said that all is fine and that I should not worry about it. Could it be be that the spring has collapsed? Is it something I should be concerned about?

Thanks in advance.

For the others it is a 2006 Forester XT Sportshift.

For a transmission related cause there is a chance the torque converter is not unlocking when the pedal is released. There are other engine related issues that could cause bucking, but I will let the XT owners fill you in on those.

The suspension could be just that the vehicle has settled in, springs sag, rubber bushings get soft...
