I am changing the turbo and would like to leave the larger braket off, but don't want any issues. Anyone leave that one off?

Definitely okay. I usually remove the larger inside bracket when I do a turbo removal because it is a pain and unnecessary.

I am not sure I would run without any bracket at all though. That really helps stabilize the uppipe which helps keep leaks and cracks in the uppipe at bay.

The only bracket I left is the one that braces the uppipe to the engine, where the turbo and uppipe connect.
