I looked around a bit but didn't find anything like this.
I have an '04 Forester with a manual transmission which means I have to depress the clutch pedal to start the car. For a while now when I try to start it the dash goes dark and nothing at all happens. I've taken it to a mechanic and the clutch interlock switch was replaced and it seemed fine for quite a while but lately the problem has returned. I'm thinking if it's not the clutch interlock switch it could be the ignition switch. What do you guys think?

Have you had your battery tested? If you don't have enough CCA because the battery is dying, the relay won't open.

No, I haven't had the battery tested but I'm certain it's okay. When it decides to start, it starts just fine.
