Try Adrian Flux, I just saved £200 on my fully comp cover. My last insurers were Kwik Fit, who were quite cheap too.

It seems most insurers are biased towards writing new business rather than keeping existing - which does seem daft!

You will quite often get a better quote from your existing insurer if you approach them as a new customer.

Phone your insurers and lie to them, tell them your not happy with the service and that you've been quoted better from every other company, they should beat it. If not then go to another company. If you have more than one car it's worth trying to insure insure the Fozzie as a classic car. I was quoted £140 fully comp from Adrian Flux, but only as a second car on classic car insurance.

Gav,

Do you have direct line in Ireland?

Or Martin's money tips for Ireland?

Huge savings to be had.

Mine is £545 but due for renewal in June this year:huh::huh::huh:

I hope I don't get the same hike as you.

regards

Alan

maybe... "Put it in "D" for "Do It" and hit the noise pedal"...

I saw this on a decal when i was in America a few months ago, and i wish i had bought it... but to be perfectly honest i drive so slow its unbelieveable, i hardly ever break the speed limit (unless im driving in France!!!!)... if i lost my licence i would loose my job, and my job is awesome, so i dont take the risk!

my insurance renewal

I got my forester about 4 weeks ago, had to pay €77 for the last 2 months of this policy. i went from a 97 carina 1.6 to s-turbo. Got my renewal notice today and now axa want an extra €400 off me. thats €500 to €930. i rang them today and they requoted me €837. i was looking around this evening and got a quote from Aviva for €600 odd. A couple of sites wouldn't even quote me, it ain't me so it must be the car. I wouldn't mind but i'm 32 the wife is 37 and i have 6+ years no claims. Bit more shopping around to do, but so far its looking like Aviva might be the one.

Best advice i can give is to shop around. I don't really want to leave axa but 200 odd euro is at least a weeks hard driving at high revs!!!!!!

I think as soon as some insurance companies hear the word "Subaru" they think Impreza and all bets are off!
