Tried leaving a friend's today and the car simply wouldn't move. No reverse or drive. I've only had the vehicle two months. Having it towed to the dealer.

Any idea what the rate of failure is for transmissions on new Foresters?

Never heard of a transmission going bad on such a new vehicle. Hope you get it sorted soon.

For all model years, it's 100% when there is no transmission fluid...did you check?
