Did some ice racing last weekend, hopefully will get in more this season but I've got a baby due in March so we'll see. I ended up in 3rd overall for the day behind a studded SP class rally car and a Acura Integra running studs as well. Check the last pic, I run some Black Rocket studded tires on speedlines 2118's.

Here's a couple quick favs from last weekend:

Looks like fun, and for once it's only an hour from my house!!!

Where can I go for more information on how to join in? I need tires though, I'd be the fastest one to go nowhere now!!

Thanks for posting,
Tony

Awesome pics! I love ice racing, they do some races up in Marinette where I grew up but it is mostly beaters. It is cool to see some nice cars kicking some ice!

I've gotta say, ice racing on snow tires is fun, but studs is seriously unbelievable. It is about teh same as gravel tires on a gravel stage road (I rally too). I spent most of the course in 3rd gear in the xt, some 2nd. We've had courses before where I reached 75-80mph throwing it sideways in my WRX before and it's insanely safe. Its also a perfect place to learn/practice your left foot braking as its really the only way to go super fast around these courses.

While I would normally agree 100% with that, with my current tires I'd call it a victory getting off the ice . I can't turn worth a damn on the road yet alone on that track...............
