I've searched and haven't found any step by step instructions.

I can easily drain and refill through the trans dipstick hole with the exact amount that drains out.

I am just curious as to whether there are any additional steps such as...
fill it half way shift through gear and fill the rest of the way..
firll it while its hot or cold....
etc...

The only Peaty write-up I saw was for a MT.

Drain it and fill it. That's about it. Depending on how warm it is when you drain it, it takes about 6 oz short of a gallon.
