How do you know the build date of your Forester?

Just put a deposit down on a '14 2.5L Touring Forester, which is in transit. I've seen other posts mention their build date? Where can you find that out? Just ask the dealership?

The vin tag will have the month and year it was built stamped into it.
It will also be on a sticker located at the very bottom right corner of the drivers side door opening.

You can see the black sticker all the way in the lower right corner of this photo:

2.5 L 14 Forester didn't know that this new model comes with the old 2.5? From what I know it only uses the new 2.0l engine!

In the US the only engines available are the "old" 2.5" (FB25) motor or the "new" 2.0 DIT (FA20DIT) on the XT.

The 2.5 is the same motor that has been in US Foresters since 2011.

Thank you all. Looking forward to picking it up next Saturday.
I need the exact date. Ordering pads and rotors and the split date is up to 4/14/10 and 4/15/10 and later. How do I get that information?
You may not be able to get that specific of the date from any of the labels on the vehicle. You may have to contact Subaru to get that detail; they'll probably want your VIN to look up.
