Now before the mods move this thread, this is for a 1999 Chevy Cavalier. My fiance drives a 99 cavalier but the horn doesn't work. I did a quick search via google and found that to be a common problem. Perhaps the relay or something. My main question is, can I just rip that stuff out and put some super tones in there?? Or should I fix the problem first... :icon_biggrin:

You need to find out whether it's a problem with the horn or the circuitry leading up to it. Put a meter or a trouble light across the wires leading to the horn and see what it tells you.

If electricity shows up there, then rip out the old horns and put in new ones. If not, then you have some detective work ahead of you to figure out what's wrong with the circuitry.

I'm a mod. Where would you like me not to move this thread? :icon_wink:

haha, thanks for the help. Unfortunately I've got to take the front bumper off to get to the horn. Great...

Make super sure that the fuses are OK before committing to a job like that. Don't just look at them; test them.
