I recently installed a HID kit on my 06 FXT.

It works good. but today I noticed that when I turn on the fog lamps it switches to high beams. I tried the high low switch and nothing, stuck on high beam. Turn off the fogs and the high low selector works.

This has me scratching my head wondering how the fogs on a different circuit is causing the HID to think it needs to switch to high beam.

The kit is wired for power to the battery. there is an adapter that uses the power from the old bulb socket to actuate a relay to turn on the HID unit when the low beams are on and when to switch from high to low.

I will have to do some detective work with my volt meter.

Has anyone else had this happen.

That would make sense.

they said to switch the ground and high beam wire.

I haven't tried it yet.

Wire both wires in parallel to the bulb socket. IE take the ground wire and go back to the untapped wire in the socket.
