Five years ago I bought my first Subaru, a 2005 Forester. I have just made the last payment this month (104K miles) and am giving the car to my newly-graduated-from-college daughter so am forced to buy a new car. I loved the '05 and had absolutely no problems with it until very recently (which I will post in the correct forum) so it is hard for me to embrace the new model. The redesigned dashboard and other things have taken away a lot of storage but I guess I'll get used to it. I hope this new Forester is as good to me as the last one.

Hello and welcome from VA. I didnt like the new forester untill I test drove one. I guess my practicallity set in although I was set on buying an 08FXT but for a couple thousand more I got a new car with an outstanding warranty....enjoy your new forester!

Sorry to hear you're having problems with your '05 Forester. As to a replacement, I prefer the earier model (styling), so that what I bought last year. Good luck on your Forester search. :wink:
