so veh is a 99 forester S with a 2.5 thats been swapped at some point in its life, with the swaped motor had head gaskets done, timing belt ect.... has about 175 K on it right now. its done this once before in this super crazy cold temps we have had this year in MI but not this bad.

this moring it was negitive 25 here in MI..

started it up to let it warm up came out to take off its blowing cold air out vents... and shows its warming up... cant get it to blow any heat heater core lines are ice cold.

this issue happened about a month ago when we had around same negitive temps. but it eventaually jsut started to warm up and blow heat

this time when i tried to drive it jsut down the road the temp gauge skyrocketed to way hot and turned it around and parked it had to take my LGT to work. which didnt like starting in this cold.

i am thinking that maybe the coolant its self isnt proper mix and is frozen or slurpy like somewhere and wasnt allowing it to flow? any one got any ideas? i had to run to work so i couldnt dig in to more
