Hello everyone, new member from NYC. I am totally impressed by the Subaru Forester, so I am looking to get my first one this spring. On top of that, also planning to make some mods for camping in it. I am really looking forward to the whole Subaru experiance.

Currently I am driving a 99 Nissan Maxima 5 speed manual that has 180k. I've had it for the past 8 years and although it is my daily commuter, it is time to upgrade to 4x4 and more space.

So I am looking to get a 2004-2008 Forester 5 speed manual this spring. Can't wait!

Welcome from a local. I'm a past maxima owner, too. I had a 1991 GXE, 93 SE, 97 I30t, and a 2002 SE. Now, for Subies, I've had a 04 FXT, 07 FsXT, 2010 LGT, and now a 2009 base Forester.

You'll love them.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I am in the Park Slope area. Still driving the Maxima, cause I just love this car. But looking for a Forester, so I might be heading to the Dealer to test drive a Manual Forester as soon as the roads clear up. Can't wait!
