Hey SubaruForester community,

I'm Rick. I'm in the SF bay area and I have owned foresters in Colorado and Flagstaff AZ before moving here. I've been spending a lot of time driving in the mountains hiking/climbing/skiing/snowboarding and taking trips throughout the southwest and have really become attached to the Forester XT.

Throughout the last 7 years I've owned:
- 1999 SF Forester (R.I.P. - bent frame)
- 2004 SG Forester XT (still own this but will be putting on the market soon)
- 2015 SJ Forester XT (just picked it up!)
- 97 Suzuki x90 (I know it's not a forester, but it's a fantastic little AWD toy car)

I'll post some pictures and some background on the cars below. Might start a journal for the new (to me!) 2015 XT depending on how much work gets done :)

My first forester under a few feet of fresh snow, somewhere in Crested Butte early 2013. 1999 SF Forester (auto) mostly stock. This vehicle had many good years and carried me through some rough terrain and weather conditions that I had never experienced before.

The car has a sad ending of a bent frame after a mountain ascent gone wrong back in 2013, but thankfully nobody was hurt and we were able to hitch a ride up the rest of the way to the ski lifts :)

My 2004 SJ Forester XT, automatic, almost entirely stock. Rebuilt engine at 130,000 miles, currently pushing 180,000 and in good mechanical condition. Recently upgraded to a 2015 so I will be selling this one soon. Trying to figure out whether to go private party, trade it in or ???

Just picked up a 2015 Forester XT, so no snow pictures until winter gets here. Tail lights are the sequential LED lights from Varco Parts here on the forum. I had the sports grill done earlier this week, next up is the LED licence plate light swap.
