Traded my 2012 BM9 GT for the 2014 Forester XT; I'm a family man now. The Forester XT, really nice ride. I figured the Hella SuperTone transplant from teh GT to the XT would be a snap, but the Subimods bracket didn't work out the box. After some simple bolt measurements, bought M8 and M6 bolts from Home Depot along with split lock washers and nuts. Fairly straight forward installation after that. Used the M8 bolt for the bracket and used the free hole under the bottom hood-latch bolt. Used the M6 bolt threaded hole, located below the said free hole, and secured the relay; no nut necessary.

I installed mine as well last weekend.

I used the stock harness and the brackets that came with the Hella Supertone package.

So I have placed them both on the same spots where the stock horns were.

Painted them black.

I bought the Subimods kit that included the wiring harness and even my non experience having self was able to do it rather easily. The wiring harness makes it plug & play, you just have to zip tie the wiring up out of the way to your battery.

See post #11 , the only difference is getting the grille off, otherwise, just follow these directions..
