My driver side head light plug has melted over time and no longer works. The dealer wants 350 bucks for the complete harness. Is there a place to order just the part I need?

find a junkyard, cut the harness as far away from the plug as you can, cut your melted plug out, solder new harness in. this sounds like a far more economical plan

H4 headlight sockets are stock items at the auto parts stores. Invest a few extra dollars (total cost = $10) and get the high-temp version, as this is not an uncommon problem, even with stock wattage bulbs. Mine are still doing fine four years later.

Check this post for more info.

Note: A search for the terms 'melted socket' (without the quotes) produces 22 hits, most of them pretty good.

Thanks for the quick responses. Picked up the part today and will install at work tomorrow.
