My 2001 Forester S is gonna need the head gaskets changed fairly soon. I'm not in a rush to get the job done since I have other vehicles.
Starting to make a list of parts to source. I'm thinking between the Fel-Pro MLS, and the Six Star. I want this to be the one and only time I need to dig into the engine.
Anyone who's done this job, or has experience with either one, I'd appreciate some input.
The cars all stock, well maintained, and in very good condition. Just would like some more life out of it.

Also, is there anything else I should do to the engine that I'd regret later if I didn't do. Like valve springs.
Thanks

I have a 2000 Forester that I had a shop re ring my engine along with using the turbo head gaskets. Now due to a bump in compression from the rings and the Turbo head gasket have to run 92 octane for the rest of the cars life.
