Are you staying on Oahu the whole time I assume?

Wife and I spent two weeks in Hawaii (one night in Honolulu so we could see Pearl Harbor which was absolutely amazing.). Then a week on Kauai in Hanalei, and then a week on the Big Island. 4 days in Kona and 2 days in Hilo.

Best trip ever.

Go hiking.

Have a real shave ice with mac-nut ice cream

Try a Hawaiian burger.

Buy groceries when on sale. First day I paid $6 for a gallon of milk. A week later it was on sale for $0.99 a gallon.

Drink REAL Kona coffee, not a blend...

Other than that, enjoy the awesome outdoor activities. We hiked a lot, kayaked, zip lined, etc...

1)
Get a rental car and take a drive on the Road to Hana on Maui but make sure you have a full tank of gas and fill up every chance you get -they gas stations are pretty spares.
2)
Go see the volcanoes on the big island as well as the lave tubes.\
3)
I felt the polynesian cultural center was just a lot of hype. For crying out load -you couldn't even get a beer there. If you do go, don't take the tour bus or you'll be stuck there the whole time and won't be able to leave if you don't like it.
