(I hope I'm posting in the right place)

My '07 was "hard to start" this past week every time the car was started from cold after sitting for hours. It would take about seven seconds of cranking before it would fire, compared to the normal 2 - 3 seconds of past.

I did a quick search of the forums and found a couple of pointers that led me to turning the ignition switch to the ON position (position before engine cranking), and leaving it there for seven to ten seconds prior to cranking the engine. The car starts normally after waiting this period of time.

I am wondering if anyone else experienced something similar during this past storm systems that went through California.

BTW, I measured the battery voltage and switched with my '98's battery just in case but the problem persisted, while the '98 has no starting issues at all.
