long story short, mom uses the foz as her DD and some *********r swerved and hit her while she was driving at the leftmost lane and then RAN AWAY :yell:

the damage was from the rear passenger door to the passenger side fender.. i'll post pics when i get home..

we and the police are looking for the douche (can i say that here? douche?:Banane17:) that did it.. IT was driving a new model BMW X5 gray in color with tint all around.. my mom said that the driver just drove off while she was about to get a look at the tags so no tags to work with yet. it has possible scuffs and visible damage to the front driver side bumper area and was last seen driving in the pico rivera~santa fe springs area.

anybody in the OC area know a very reputable body shop that specializes in subaru's? or should i got to the dealer and have them repair it instead?

all your suggestions are welcome!

Thanks!

seems like the a-holes go buy bimmers and become bigger a-holes. but this is another chicken and the egg debate hahaha.

as for body shop.. mm i used Fix Auto for my girl's Matrix. They did a good job. some reviews also point to King's Auto Repair. but they're not subie specialists, but neither is Fix Auto.

seems like X5s always run away.. i watched an X5 back into the shopping cart stand at Target and then peel out because she was so embarassed.

Why didn't she follow him/her? I would go to the dealer and see what body shop they use or if they have their own. Do you have uninsured motorist?

Unfortunately I have to say from experience that on the road, a normal forester will not compete against a new X5 and putting yourself or others in danger to catch someone might not be worth it.

I know it sucks but one thing you can be sure of, no matter how much it costs you to fix your forester, the other person will cost significantly more to fix any damage on a BMW.

I've seen 3 hit and runs here happen right in front of me. Each time we/I chased the running driver with 911 on the phone telling them year, make, model, tag and where they were going.
As you can tell, I despise hit and runs.

as i would have done that in a scenario run thru my head, i was really proud my mom did not run after the x5.. first, its way to dangerous to do that in a very crowded city road and secondly, the chances of getting into a more serious accident after experiencing a minor one is rather high..

rennick subaru (this one is the closest to my location) recommends a shop called "cone collision" in fullerton.. this is the shop they send out all their subarus and cadillacs (yep, they do cadillacs too) to get them repaired.

we've been doing a 10 mile roundup within the place that the X5 was last seen and so far after 5 sightings of the same make and model as described, none of them had any damage to the suspected area of impact.

i'll find this person. sooner or later it has to show up on the same stretch of road and as soon as it does, i'll have pics of him/her for you guys to steer clear of!
