I found these tires and they have very good ratings and interesting tire specs. The 215 is the same width as the 225 and weighs 4 pounds less.

here are the specs:

Are you talking about the Exclaim UHP?

I ran them in 235/45/17 (on 17x7.5 +48). The compound feels pretty soft to the touch, you can squish the tread around with your finger. However they do grip pretty well in most conditions.

They have the same section width, but the tread is probably wider on the 225. The 225 is .4" larger in diameter.

If you have clearance to the strut I'd just go with a 235/50/17.

I am running 225/55/17 UHPs with 06 WRX wheels and run a 5mm spacer in the rear to keep from rubbing on the strut. They have been great tires for the past 2 summers!
