I'm considering getting a bluetooth car kit for the FXT and I'd like to wire in the incoming call audio mute. After looking at the pin outs for the factory head unit I don't see an easy way.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could mute the audio?

Thanks

I looked at this as well and there doesn't seem to be an easy way to do this. Some bluetooth kits can be found with line level audio switchers but I'm not sure if there are any kits that can switch the *speaker* level outputs from the Forester head unit. Of course, I would love for someone to find a solution to this..

cheers,
Scott

Yeah, it could be done with a menagerie of relays I guess but I'd like a more elegant solution.

OK I'm bringing this back. Surely in the last 2 years someone must have come out with a bluetooth device that I can use with my factory hu.
Best buy has nothing for me because I have no mute wire.
Circuit city says they can do it with any stereo including mine, but after reading some customer feedback on their site, people are complaining that sound only comes out of one speaker or does not work at all.
I have a bluetooth earpiece and I don't want to change head units.
Anyone have any insight?
