I prefer to do my calculations in smiles per gallon. I place a higher value on the driving experience. When it was new I got 22 mpg average. Smiles per gallon have been steadily increasing since then.

hm...Lucky you all.
We (in Ukraine) prefer to count how many liters car uses to drive a 100km. the best result i ever get was 16l/100km and normal is 18l/100km(both in city). I tried to calculate, so the results are 17mpg and 20mpg
Correct me if I am wrong.

Using Google Math (cool tool if you haven't used it)...

Just open a google.com search window:
I entered "18l/100km in miles per gallon" resulted in 18 l/100km = 13.0674769 miles per gallon. That just doesn't make sense at all though, seems way too high consumption for a Subaru.

All city is getting me around 22 mph with my 2006 X. I live in a congested area with tons of stop-and-go traffic and the car is new. I can hardly wait to take a trip and check the highway mileage.

Filled my car an hour ago, between 2 full tanks i've passed 190km,and he eated 35l.
So it seems like 18l/100km or 13mpg (according to http://www.teaching-english-in-japan.net/conversion/mpg)

Any advices how to decrease his appetite?:help1:
(i've tried to use another fuel = no result)

p.s.when you do 20mpg, What is the average rpm and what drive dynamics?
