Yup. Just got my 2010 Foz limited XT here in Calgary, AB and it has that instant mileage and trip average gauge. I don't like it. I would trade anyone for a distance to empty display...please!!!ust got a 2010 forester. Reading the manual and excited about the fuel mileage gauge, then read it's not in US models. WHY??? Anyone know?
AMEN! My ex's base Chevy Cobalt had one!I would trade anyone for a distance to empty display.
According to the sales brochure for the 2010 Forester, all trim levels have the mpg calculator. The mpg appears in the clock/outside air temp display at the top of the center dash. It displays when you depress either trip A or trip B on the odometer. When you reset trip A or B, you might have to drive a mile or two before the mpg begins displaying a calculation. The mpg calculator is cumulative until you reset the trip meter.ust got a 2010 forester. Reading the manual and excited about the fuel mileage gauge, then read it's not in US models. WHY??? I had a 2010 foz, base model for a bit (it was a loaner car), and it didn't have the digital MPG readout in the spot where it should have been. No trip A or B options either.According to the sales borchure for the 2010 Forester, all trim levels have the mpg calculator. I set trip B back when I drove my car off the dealer's lot (1816 miles ago) and I'm averaging 27.6 mpg according to the mpg computer. On my current tank of gas (trip A) I'm averaging 29.1 mpg. I'm really impressed with my mpg thus far. I have a 2010 2.5X PZEV Limited with automatic transmission. I live in a warm climate and do little stop and go driving.
You are lucky with that mileage. I have averaged "only" 20.9 MPG since new on my 2010 2.5 Auto. That said, I live in the northeastern US, and stop and go is all I do.According to the sales brochure for the 2010 Forester, all trim levels have the mpg calculator. The display may have been (purposely) turned off and/or the odometer set for the "Odometer" function, and not "Trip A" or "Trip B". Check pages 3-22 through -24 in the '10's owner manual.I had a 2010 foz, base model for a bit (it was a loaner car), and it didn't have the digital MPG readout in the spot where it should have been.
