Hi Guys,

My fuel gauge is moving to empty more quickly than normal. It reaches empty at around 400km, but still has 20 litres of fuel in the tank when i fill up.
It usaully reaches empty line at 520 km for the last 3 years. Does anyone know what the problem could be.:icon_question:

Thanks,
mark

Is the low fuel warning light coming on when it does show empty? I know my light only comes on when it really is showing empty and then it takes 50L - 51L. When you fill it does the gauge go just above the full mark and stay above it for the first 50km or so? And I do know mine takes 28L when it is showing half full.

Hi Guys,
Im a new member and still learning my way around. Thanks for the replies.

There has been no repairs to the car. I do all my own sirvicing from new. My fuel light usually comes on at 520km 100% of the time. There was no warning light this time and the needle was on the empty line, but it still had 20 litres in the tank when I filled up.
Could it be a dirty slide on the fuel level sender unit.
Thanks,
Mark.
